Hey, here goes nothing!

Hi, everyone! My name is Jordan Rudolph; I am a rookie at this whole blogging thing, but thought I would give it a shot. [Bare with me!] Here is a little bit about me, my family and why I chose to start blogging! I'm a graduate of Saint Mary's College, where I met the greatest friends on the planet. I'm a stay at home mom; I used to work at a locally owned baby store, Baby Grand, here in the Twin Cities, where I gained a lot of knowledge of baby products before I actually had children of my own. I'm very happily married to Kyle Rudolph, Tight End for the Minnesota Vikings. We met while in college: he went to Notre Dame while I was at Saint Mary's; he played football and I cheered at Notre Dame. We are both convinced Notre Dame is one of the greatest places on the planet! We have 9 month old identical twin girls who have absolutely stolen our hearts, Andersyn & Finley, and two English Bulldog pups, Charlie & Bentley.

Top reasons I decided to blog:
1.  I am constantly googling baby products and wanting to know reviews, what's best, and real opinions. I am here to be that unfiltered source. Because, well, let's be honest, I've probably tried it, TWICE. haha.
2.  I'm an NFL wife. I know I'm not alone in this. There are many awesome wives who I have met, love and adore. I want to share this adventure that I feel so blessed to be on with all of you.
3.  We have identical twin girls, the rarest of multiples. I'm a first timer; this is new to me, and I want to help you all while you help me.
4.  I'm a stay at home mom but wanted a creative outlet, so here I am!

I have thought many times about a blog: what to blog about, and when would be the right time to launch. I decided on a lifestyle blog. I follow a lot of bloggers on Instagram, but most are fashion bloggers and I am definitely not that. My husband will vouch for this: you can find me in Lululemon 90% of the time. It's Kyle's first day at training camp, which he will be at for two weeks. I figured there is no better time than the present. This is when life gets crazy for us. This is when everything gets put on hold, and football is the center of our world;  Sundays are spent at the stadium cheering our loudest for #82. I feel very fortunate to experience this, but it's definitely not all rainbows and butterflies. I am here to give you insight, to be completely vulnerable and raw. I'm here to share the good, the bad, and the ugly of parenting, football, being a wife, and this crazy adventure called life.

So here I am. At home. The first day of training camp. I'm home with Andi, Fin, Charlie and Bentley. It's currently nap time here in the Rudolph Household, so all is quiet. This is Kyle's 7th training camp.  He left yesterday morning, drove down to Mankato, got his dorm room and dove head first in Minnesota Vikings football. This year training camp isn't quite like the years past. It's our first year with the girls. It's a different feeling already. I have my two little mini me's keeping me very busy: chasing them all over the house, playing endless games of peek-a-boo and so big, singing crazy songs, changing a whole lot of diapers, and just being mom 24/7 without my partner in crime. It's a new experience, and one I am completely embracing. Andersyn and Finley are learning new things daily; they are getting so busy and curious, and they are going to be ONE soon. So I am completely cherishing all this time that I am just getting with them. I know Kyle and I both can't wait to take them down to training camp. I am a sucker for all "first" moments. This will be their first time watching their dad at training camp, their first time crawling out to him on the field, the first time wearing his jersey, and I cannot wait to experience it with my family. A theme these past 9 months has been "A Year Of Firsts". This will be a big first in their book, and one Kyle can't wait for. He has always told me how he can't wait to look to the sidelines or look up at our seats and see his children there cheering him on. The time is now. It is here. So as crazy and exhausting this time is, it's also a "first" and it's definitely one for the books.

I hope you all stick with me. I would love feedback and comments on what you want to see/hear about! Thanks for joining me on this adventure of First Steps & First Downs!

Love,

Jordan
